Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Scantivo app, published by CAMPO STELLATO. The App Store or Google Play terms also apply to downloads, payments, and purchases processed through them. For matters managed by the store, its rules apply to the extent permitted by law.

How Scantivo works

Scantivo offers a Document mode with purple-frame detection, automatic or manual capture, cropping, and perspective correction, plus a manual-only Photo mode that preserves the full image taken directly with the camera. Photo mode is available in the main scanner and in “Add Pages”. The app also lets users create, rename, and organize PDFs on their device.

Free version

The free version includes Document mode, keeps Photo mode locked, and allows up to 15 saved PDFs per month. Outside the trial, it does not include Scantivo Pulse. The 14-day trial starts only when the user chooses to activate it and does not trigger an automatic purchase. It includes the advanced tools and Scantivo Pulse, and lets the user save no more than 3 Photo pages in total across all PDFs; this global allowance does not reset. The 15-saved-PDF monthly limit remains.

Scantivo Unlimited

Scantivo Unlimited is a one-time in-app purchase, with no subscription or recurring payment. It includes every advanced tool, unlimited Photo pages, unlimited saved PDFs, and Scantivo Pulse. Scantivo Pulse is included during the 14-day trial; after the trial, it is available exclusively with Unlimited. The purchase is processed through the App Store on iPhone and iPad or Google Play on Android and can be restored on compatible devices on the same platform under the applicable store rules. Library Sync and full library backup are available during the optional 14-day trial, then require Scantivo Unlimited. Outside the trial, the free version includes neither feature.

The features included on the purchase date are those shown in the app and on this site’s “Scantivo Unlimited” page. Any later change remains subject to the “Changes to these Terms and the service” section and applicable statutory rights.

Scope of the Scantivo Unlimited purchase

Scantivo Unlimited is a one-time in-app purchase with no subscription or recurring payment. “Unlimited” means that the expressly stated usage limits are removed for the included features; it does not mean that operation, availability, or online services are guaranteed for any particular duration.

Acquired Unlimited features remain unlocked with no contractual expiry in any version of Scantivo that remains installed, available, compatible, and operational. Subject to updates and guarantees required by law, the purchase includes no commitment to create new features, support future devices or systems, or maintain the app, support, stores, or online services indefinitely.

CAMPO STELLATO may, for economic, technical, operational, security, legal, supplier, or platform-related reasons, stop new sales, development, maintenance, support, or any online service, including Scantivo Pulse. That decision alone does not revoke or relock local Unlimited features already acquired. The last installed version may continue to work while it remains compatible and operational.

For a planned shutdown of an essential online service, CAMPO STELLATO aims to give about three months’ notice when reasonably possible. This indicative period may be shortened or omitted in an emergency, for a security risk, legal requirement, Apple, Google or supplier decision, or an event beyond CAMPO STELLATO’s control. Information and remedies required by law, including correction, price reduction, or refund where due, remain available.

Devices, compatibility, and third-party services

Scantivo works only on compatible devices, systems, and versions stated in the store when it is downloaded or purchased. Some features depend on the device, network, Apple, Google, iCloud, Google Drive, notification services, or other independent providers. Those providers may change, interrupt, or withdraw their own services under their terms.

Redownload, purchase restoration, sync, and notifications depend on factors including the store, account, device, system, network, and third-party availability. Subject to its own duties and applicable law, CAMPO STELLATO is not responsible for an incident caused solely by a third-party service or technical environment outside its control.

User obligations and prohibited uses

Users must ensure that they may lawfully scan, store, edit, and share the documents they process. They remain responsible for their documents, recipients, intellectual-property and privacy rights, professional secrecy, and duties specific to their activity.

Scantivo must not be used unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights; to bypass limits or technical safeguards; to disrupt, overload, or test Scantivo Pulse or an associated service without authorization; to introduce malicious code; or to copy, assign, redistribute, disassemble, or seek to derive source code, except where expressly allowed by law.

Availability, updates, and backups

CAMPO STELLATO uses reasonable efforts to operate Scantivo, without guaranteeing continuous, error-free service or compatibility with every future change. Interruptions may be required for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or external failures. Updates required to maintain conformity are supplied for the period a consumer may reasonably expect under applicable law.

Documents remain on the device unless the user chooses to sync, copy, back up, or export them. Before deleting the app, resetting or changing a device, or carrying out a sensitive operation, the user should keep a verified external backup. CAMPO STELLATO cannot remotely reconstruct documents it does not host or access.

Statutory guarantees and remedies

Consumers retain all mandatory statutory rights for digital content and services. For a one-off supply governed by French law, CAMPO STELLATO is responsible for lack of conformity appearing within two years after supply. This period does not limit the right to necessary updates for the period the consumer may reasonably expect.

Where a defect is covered by a statutory guarantee, the consumer may request conformity without charge and without undue delay. Where provided by law, the consumer may obtain a price reduction or terminate the contract and receive a refund. Mandatory hidden-defect and local consumer protections also remain available. The App Store or Google Play may execute a refund when it processed the payment.

Liability

Scantivo is an assistance tool, not an evidential archive, accounting software, or legal, tax, or professional advice. Detection, cropping, text recognition, search, and automatic naming can be inaccurate. Users must check the final document, content, filing, and name before official storage, transmission, or use.

To the extent permitted by law, CAMPO STELLATO is not responsible for loss caused solely by user fault, prohibited or improper use, a disclosed incompatibility, failure to install an update after notice, loss or damage to a device, absence of a verified backup, a third party outside its reasonable control, or force majeure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. For a user contracting in the course of business, CAMPO STELLATO’s liability is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to direct and foreseeable loss; indirect loss of business, revenue, profit, opportunity, or unbacked-up data is excluded. This limit does not apply to gross or intentional fault, personal injury, or mandatory liability.

Intellectual property

The Scantivo name, logo, interface, design, source code, and other app elements are protected. Subject to store rules, users receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-assignable, and non-transferable license to use Scantivo on compatible devices. No ownership in the app is transferred.

Users retain their rights in their documents and warrant that they hold the rights and permissions needed to process them. They grant CAMPO STELLATO no rights in documents stored locally or in their own storage, except what is strictly necessary for a feature they expressly request.

Suspension for misuse

In the event of fraud, attempted unauthorized access, a security threat, unlawful use, or disruption of an online service, CAMPO STELLATO may suspend the affected access for as long as necessary to protect the service or users or to comply with law. Prior notice and an opportunity to remedy are given where circumstances permit; urgent suspension may be immediate. It is limited to what is necessary and does not revoke acquired local Unlimited features unless required by law or the breach makes continued access impossible.

Changes to these Terms and the service

CAMPO STELLATO may change these Terms for legal, regulatory, technical, security, feature, or service-related reasons. The applicable version bears its update date. Material changes are communicated within a reasonable time and, where required by law, on a durable medium.

A change to these Terms cannot by itself retroactively remove acquired local Unlimited features or reduce a mandatory guarantee or remedy. Functional changes not required for conformity are made for a valid reason, at no extra cost, and with the information and rights required by law where they negatively affect use.

Complaints and amicable resolution

To allow prompt handling before any other step, users are invited to email contact@scantivo.fr with the purchase platform, order reference stripped of payment data, app version, and a description of the issue. CAMPO STELLATO will seek an amicable solution in good faith without restricting any mandatory right or time limit.

Consumer mediation

In accordance with the French Consumer Code provisions governing consumer dispute mediation, after contacting us and if our response does not satisfy you, you may use a consumer mediation procedure free of charge through:

Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer provisions. Translations are provided to aid understanding; to the extent permitted by law, the French version is the reference for interpretation.

Disputes between traders

Between CAMPO STELLATO and a user who contracted as a trader, all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the jurisdiction of Ajaccio, including where there are multiple defendants or third-party proceedings. This clause does not apply to consumers.
